“I’m not a technologist” is how Ajit Gupta, founder and CEO of networking company Aryaka, starts our interview.  It’s quite a statement from a man responsible for building a world-class internet company, Speedera Networks,  which was acquired by Akamai Technologies at a market value of $500 million and then starting a wide area networking technology company that is disrupting the major players in the industry.  He also holds 12 patents for technology that brings together content delivery and global traffic management.  Oh, and he also hold a graduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Alabama and an undergraduate degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.  Along the way he has reinvented the way small and mid-sized businesses can easily and cheaply take advantage of wide area network (WAN) technology to help build their businesses.  So much for not being a technologist.
