VirtuOz: 144 million ‘virtual agent’ conversations in 2010

Emeryville’s VirtuOz Inc. said its so-called “virtual agents” -- software systems with natural language processing skills -- handled 144 million customer service problems in 2010, a record.
Steve Adams, president and CEO of the company, said: “An increasingly large generation of users are living in an online world and demanding more sophisticated online support options for self-service.”
