Sprint Partners with doxo to Offer Customers a New and Convenient Paperless Option

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. & SEATTLE, Nov 09, 2010 -- Sprint today announced a partnership with doxo to offer its customers a new, easy-to-use paperless billing solution. Sprint customers, beginning today, can go to www.doxo.com/sprint and sign up to receive, manage and file all of their Sprint bills for free through doxo.

Once connected to Sprint on doxo, customers will receive Sprint bills directly in their doxo account. Within doxo, a user can take action on a bill and file it in their personal online file cabinet. The bill can be printed, downloaded or deleted at any time, and is securely stored for as long as the customer keeps his/her doxo account. With a doxo account, a user can receive bills from multiple providers, all in one place. Sprint customers who use doxo can get their Sprint bills alongside bills from other companies -- such as utilities, cable and health insurance. Having everything in one place makes it easier for customers to stay organized and to not miss any due dates.

"Millions of Sprint customers currently go paperless through Sprint's e-billing system and now we're excited to offer our customers another environmentally sound paperless option that allows them to easily receive their bills online through doxo," said Scott Rice, vice president, Care and Billing Services for Sprint. Sprint is committed to reducing its paper consumption by 30 percent by 2017. Sprint has already made excellent progress towards that goal -- reducing its paper consumption by 27 percent since 2007. More than 23 percent of Sprint customers have signed up for paperless billing with Sprint to date through Sprint's existing e-billing system solutions. This has helped Sprint save 2.4 million pounds of paper and has prevented the production of 13.2 million pounds of greenhouse gas emissions and 26.5 million gallons of waste water. Sprint will continue to offer its existing e-billing system and doxo will now provide a way for Sprint customers to receive their Sprint bills, as well as manage bills and documents from their other providers, in a single place.

"There is potential in the market for a massive leap in paperless adoption -- three to five times higher than current levels," said Steve Shivers, doxo CEO. More than 50 billion bills and other business documents are mailed in the United States each year, according to the U.S. Postal Service. Producing this amount of paper requires 11 million trees, generates 12 million tons of greenhouse emissions, and uses 650 million gallons of fuel. Going paperless is one way for customers to help protect the environment.
