IronKey's May Mitchell Recognized by Everything Channel's CRN Magazine as One of the Top Women of the Channel
SUNNYVALE, CA--(Jul 25, 2011) - IronKey, the leader in securing data and online access, today announced that May Mitchell, vice president global channel sales, has been recognized by Everything Channel's CRN Magazine as one of the top Women of the Channel in 2011. This annual list recognizes female executives for their accomplishments over the past year, based on their achievements as executives and the amount of influence they wield over the technology channel. This year's Women of the Channel were chosen by the editors of CRN Magazine from a field of vendor channel organizations, distributors and solution providers.
"With May's leadership, IronKey is building momentum globally thru tighter synergies with our partners," said Arthur Wong, IronKey's CEO. "Our channel partners are seeing that IronKey solutions are an essential and growing component of their overall security practice, helping their customers reduce risk, stay compliant and protect data."
Over the last year Mitchell has successfully expanded IronKey's global Elite Partner Program to more than 600 partners worldwide, launched the new Trusted Access for Banking Elite Channel Partner Program and kept IronKey growing at a high double-digit growth rate. Teaming with a channel partner to address customer data protection and compliance requirements helped IronKey win its largest ever order earlier this year. IronKey's Elite partner program, led by Mitchell, was recognized by Everything Channel as the first to win a five-star rating in its category. Mitchell also received the distinction of being named a 2011 Channel Chief by CRN, and was named to the top Women of the Channel ranks last year.
"This year's Women of the Channel list honors those female executives who epitomize success within the IT channel -- a traditionally male-centric industry. Whether they come from tier-one vendors, VAR500 solution providers or just bring a bevy of channel experience that cannot be ignored, the 2011 Women of the channel list will recognize the most influential women of the channel based on their overall achievements, and their influence in the technology industry," said Kelley Damore, vice president and editorial director, Everything Channel.
A sample of the Women of the Channel list will appear in the July issue of CRN Magazine and expanded coverage will be featured online at www.crn.com.
