Managed service veteran to lead customer operations and support intelligent virtual agent growth across vertical markets around the world
EMERYVILLE, CA – January 10, 2012 – VirtuOz, the leading provider of intelligent virtual agents (IVAs) for online marketing, sales, and support, today announced that Greg Carver, an industry expert with 20 years of experience leading managed service operations, is the newly appointed senior vice president of global services. In his role on the VirtuOz executive team, Greg will be responsible for all customer-facing services, internal IT, and hosted operations.
“I’m pleased to have Greg join the VirtuOz executive team. Greg brings a successful track record growing global operations and services and, more importantly, he brings a history of building solid customer relationships at all levels of the client organization,” said Steve L. Adams, president and CEO of VirtuOz. “The addition of his talent and vision will further equip us to meet the predicted market growth for virtual agents.”
Greg’s appointment follows recent predictions by Gartner that “by 2015, 50 percent of online customer self-service search activities will be via a VA for at least 1,500 large enterprises.” Moreover, Cisco Chief Futurist Dave Evans named virtual agents as one of the top ten technologies that will change the world in the next ten years.
Before joining VirtuOz, Greg served as senior vice president of customer operations at MegaPath Inc., where he played an instrumental role in its expansion into one of the nation’s largest managed services providers. Prior to that, Greg was the senior vice president of operations at GoRemote, where he ran global operations, and continued to do so at iPass after they acquired GoRemote in February 2006.
