Pamela Mahoney

Pamela Mahoney brings more than 20 years experience in marketing, corporate communications and media relations to her work with Mohr Davidow. Since 2001, she's helped raise awareness of the firm's investment strategy within the investment and startup communities, and worked with portfolio management teams to develop effective communication plans and market positioning. She was actively involved in the early work of companies including Gordon Murray Design, Genomatica, Massive Health, Panasas, Proofpoint, RainDance Technologies and Rocket Fuel. Pamela is also a member of the NVCA's strategic communications team.

Pamela enjoys the challenge of translating or distilling complex ideas into a powerful story and helping entrepreneurs deliver it effectively. "Given that most startups are pioneering new areas, some concepts are more readily understood and communicated than others," she explains. "They're not only building new companies or new markets, in many cases they're making history."

Pamela's experience spans a number of leading technology, auto and industrial companies including Sun Microsystems, Novell, Chrysler Corporation, General Motors, and the Dow Chemical Company.

She's accustomed to working on multidisciplinary teams and has worked alongside scientists and engineers behind the Java computing language, early personal digital devices and online identity management solutions. In the late 1990s, she was a member of Chrysler's award-winning team responsible for a significant corporate repositioning and the launch of a record number of new products.
